Green Turkey Chili recipe
Green Turkey Chili ingredients list:
2 lbs of ground turkey.
2 quart canned white kidney beans, drained and rinsed.
6 large celery stalks, diced.
4 green onions, sliced.
4 large garlic cloves, minced.
2 large green bell pepper, seeded and diced.
3 cups of water.
½ cup of olive oil.
½ cup of Tabasco green pepper sauce.
½ cup of chopped parsley.
2 ½ teaspoons of salt.
Instructions for Green Turkey Chili:
In a large saucepan, heat 4 tablespoons of oil over medium heat.
Add the diced celery and green pepper and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the sliced green onions and minced garlic, then cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove vegetables to plate using a slotted spoon.
Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil. Over medium-high heat, cook ground turkey until well-browned on all sides, stirring frequently.
Add the cooked vegetables, kidney beans, green pepper sauce, water and salt.
Bring to a boil over high heat; then reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Uncover the saucepan and simmer 5 minutes.
Stir in the choppped parsley and serve.
